A simple flower necklace handmade from recycled Sterling silver.
This beautiful flower came out a little different ly to my others, the stamen is low, and in the bottom right hand corner it has gone a little coppery in colour.
Sterling silver is so called because fine silver is very soft to work in, so copper is added 7.5%, hence sterling silver having the 92.5% mark. I overheated this one (I make them from molten silver) which can cause the copper to separate and become visible. So it has a lovely rosey tinge, but it is barely visible.
