Your Nature Jewellery Designer

Inspired by Nature

It is easy to forget, and take for granted the beauty and inspiration of the natural world. I make jewellery that reminds people of nature, its natural wisdom and inspiration - all of which we have within.

Grace and Flora’s nature jewellery captures often overlooked treasures forever in sterling silver with exquisite detail. The pieces inspire the wearer of the astonishing world we are part of.

With Grace and Flora nature jewellery you keep pieces of nature that last a lifetime and beyond. Every order contains an inspiring nature quote card.

About me

Hi - I’m Kate. I design and handmake your silver nature jewellery in my Twickenham garden studio just outside London. As a child, I loved spending time in nature: climbing trees in the garden and looking for frogs and newts in the ponds. I went on to study Zoology at University and love botanical painting.

Having a dog means I am out walking amongst the trees and flowers each day. I appreciate how important this is for my wellbeing.

I started working as a counsellor in 2005, though I wanted a creative outlet to balance my life. I founded Grace and Flora in 2012.

As a sensitive soul and therapist I value the importance of wellbeing and good mental health. For me this includes being creative every day and staying connected with nature through my daily walks and my work.

My daughter (the original Grace Flora) is now 16 and helps me in the studio during the holidays. She keeps my feet on the ground, though my head is often in the clouds.

Sustainability

Sustainability is as important to me as it is to you.

  • All the jewellery is handmade using sterling silver, certified eco silver where possible, such as the bangles and rings. I recycle leftover silver into the pebbles range. Most silver in circulation nowadays is recycled. Unlike many alloys sterling silver is recyclable.

  • Your jewellery arrives in a quality recyclable gift box made from 50% recycled board.

  • I use recycle-able packaging and acid-free recycled tissue paper. Because I print the boxes in the studio, there are no complex chemical processes in the printing process.

  • We are paperless, i.e. no printed receipt.

  • The jewellery is handmade here in the studio. I have some help with casting locally in the jewellery quarter Hatton Garden in London, so Grace and Flora has a relatively low carbon footprint.

Jewellery Studio

All your jewellery is handmade here in my garden studio. This is my jewellery bench where I solder, file and shape your pieces. There is a photo tour of my studio here. I’m not open to the public though I also share my world over on @instagram.

Workshops

I started teaching silversmith and jewellery making workshops for beginners in 2019. This was quickly curbed by lockdown, a broken collarbone and then long, very long covid.
