Silversmithing Workshop - make Silver Earrings
In this beginners jewellery making workshop you will learn to make sterling silver earrings. You will be able to design your own pair, shaping the silver into a bar, circle, oval, rectangle or hoops (3/4) or whatever shape desired! There will be inspiration to help you design your own pair and demonstrations with room for creativity and individuality. It will be a relaxed and productive session though there are usually a few challenging moments along the way! You will learn beginners silversmithing including:
- annealing silver
- creating form and shape
- sawing and filing
- hammering and texturing
- polishing methods
- how to care for silver jewellery
- where to buy your jewellery making materials and equipment
And you will have a beautiful, unique pair of earrings to take away with you. If you're interested visit my blog for more information and pictures on these workshops.
The workshop takes place at my Twickenham (South West London) garden studio, TW2 6PU with all tools and materials, as well as tea and coffee, provided. The teacher is (me) Kate Harvey - the founder of Grace & Flora Jewellery.
More details and directions will be sent out a few days before the event.
